Pieces of Eight
Pieces of Eight is the ship's parrot.
Every good pirate has a parrot on his/her shoulder of course. Pieces has however risen through the ranks and has become Top Bird on board (with one exception). His favourite phrases apart from "Pieces of Eight" are: "I'll see ye all hanged from the yard-arm before the sun rises me hearties" and "Mine's a double grog with ice"...
Pieces is armed to the teeth in true piratical fashion - you never know when you may have to fend off George The Enormous Cat, the onboard moggy and pet of Shush The Librarian.
