Lucky Laffitte
Lucky Laffitte is of course, not lucky at all. He is regularly made to walk the plank by Ethel on account of his reluctance to have baths, use soap and join the Pirate Book Club organised by Shush The Librarian.
Lucky is a French Pirate and speaks pirate with a pronounced accent - instead of the usual "arrrrrrrrrrrrrr" he delivers an "oooooooooooh la larrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ". He also likes croissants for breakfast, snails cooked with garlic and a good shanty by Maurice Chevalier .
Unfortunately, Lucky has no sense of smell. He mistook The Sweaty Sock for his own ship "La Legume Folle" whilst berthed at the pirate cove of Hispaniola and ended up, next time he looked, at the end of a plank...again.
